When you want to get the most out of your new Mazda CX-5, it’s important to complete routine maintenance. Follow these tips from our Mazda service technicians at Berkshire Mazda to ensure your vehicle gets the care it needs.

Every 12 Months or 7,500 Miles

Your Mazda CX-5 needs these maintenance tasks completed every 12 months or 7,500 miles (whichever comes sooner).

  • Engine oil and filter – replace when wrench indicator light is on (with a max interval of 12 months)
  • Disc brake inspection

Every 24 Months or 15,000 Miles

There are multiple vehicle parts that require an inspection every 24 months. These parts include your fuel and brake lines and hoses, disc brakes, steering operation and linkages, front and rear suspension, driveshaft dust boots, and more. The cabin air filter also needs to be replaced.

Every 36 Months or 22,500 Miles

Your vehicle needs these additional maintenance tasks completed at 36 months or 22,500 miles (whichever comes sooner).

  • Air filter replacement
  • Disc brake and drive belt inspection

Increased Mileage

It’s especially important to keep up with routine maintenance as your mileage increases. You’ll want to continue with these recommended intervals. Then, there are also a few additional tasks that need to be completed including spark plug replacement and inspections of your exhaust systems, heat shields, and your hoses and tubes for emission.

Keep in mind, there are lots of factors that can affect your maintenance schedule including your driving conditions, how much you drive, and even the type of oil you use.
